CM Reviews Preparations of REET-2021 Through VC: All Candidates Appearing in REET To Get the Facility of Free Travel, Govt Personnel Found Involved in the Paper Leak And Incidents of Cheating Will Be Terminated - CM
Jaipur, September 23. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has said that all candidates appearing in Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) 2021 will be provided the facility of free travel. He directed to make arrangements for a sufficient number of private buses apart from roadways buses and provide free travel facility to all the candidates. He said that government employees found involved in paper leak, allowing dummy candidates to appear in the exam and incidents of cheating during recruitment exams will be terminated. Besides this, in case of a personnel of any private school or the person associated with the school is found involved in such incidents, then the affiliation of the concerned school will be put to an end permanently.
Shri Gehlot was addressing a high-level meeting organised to review the preparations for REET-2021 through VC from his official residence on Thursday. He said that when incidents of cheating done by gangs in competitive exams come to the fore, the hard work put in by the candidates goes waste. In such a situation, strict action should be taken against such gangs involved in fraud. He said that there should be no negligence at any examination centre. CCTV cameras should be installed at examination centres. He directed the Board of Secondary Education and collectors to get the videography done of the whole process of question papers reaching to the examination centres from the printing press and also the opening of the packets having question papers at the centres. He said that candidates appearing in the REET exam should not bring mobile phones to the examination centres.
The Chief Minister said that strict action should be taken against all those who are responsible for incidents such as paper leaks and cheating in REET-2021 and all the competitive exams to be held in the future. He said that young candidates who are appearing in the REET exam are the future of our State. In the event of the candidates coming to appear in exams, especially the women candidates face any problem in lodging and boarding, then public representatives, social workers and voluntary organisations should come forward to help these candidates. He said that district collector should engage the voluntary organisations in their respective district to help the candidate.
Shri Gehlot directed collectors and SPs to ensure that law and order is maintained during the REET exam. Along with that, they should constantly take rounds and keep watch on all the arrangements. He directed to set up a control room in every district so that candidates, especially women candidates can call directly if they face and adverse situation.
Transport Minister Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that all buses of roadways are available for free travelling of candidates coming for exam. Besides this, Lok Parivahan and other private buses are also being arranged. Officers of the transport department have been given necessary directions regarding this, he said.
Minister of State for Education Shri Govind Singh Dotasara said that the department has made all arrangements to organise the REET exam with transparency. He suggested that there should be a complete ban on taking mobile phones inside the examination centres to check paper leaks and cheating incidents. A special watch should be kept on the gangs and coaching centres involved in paper leaks and cheating. He said that candidates wearing masks should be taken away and new masks should be given at the time of entrance into the examination centre so that incidents of cheating by using Bluetooth hidden in the mask can be prevented.
Additional Chief Secretary School Education Shri PK Goyal gave a detailed presentation about the preparations made for REET-2021 exams to be organised in two shifts on September 26. He said that 16 lakh 22 thousand 19 candidates have applied for the exam and 3993 examination centres have been made in the State. The Railway has agreed to run 11 special trains for the candidates and a request has been made for a few more special trains. He said that executive magistrates and the police force will remain deployed at railway stations and important bus stands.
Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Ajmer Shri DP Jaroli said that examination materials are being sent to the districts. Special arrangements are being made at sensitive examination centres. Director General of Police Shri ML Lathar said that all necessary preparations have been made to maintain law and order situation during the exams. The available police force will be deployed at railway stations, bus stands, towns, markets and near examination centres. SOG and other agencies are vigilantly working on the intelligence inputs and technical surveillance to prevent any incident of cheating and paper leak.
Chief Secretary Shri Niranjan Arya, Principal Secretary Home Shri Abhay Kumar, ADG (Law & Order) Shri Saurabh Srivastava and ADG (SOG) Shri Ashok Rathore also gave detailed information about the arrangements and preparations made by the administration and the police. Principal Secretary Finance, Divisional Commissioners, SPs, District Transport Officers, Officers from Education Department and Board of Secondary Education and various departments associated with the REET-2021 exam participated in the meeting through VC.
