Health Minister launches Integrated System for Monitoring of PCPNDT Act (IMPACT) App
Jaipur, 11 October. Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child launched IMPACT (Integrated System for Monitoring of PCPNDT Act) Application (App) on Sunday from his residence. He said that the increasing difference in sex ratio is a serious subject. The Health Department is constantly making efforts to reduce this difference and the IMPACT App is an important step in this direction. The Health Minister said that the IMPACT App will ease the action taken under the PCPNDT Act and the inspection activities. The concerned officer can immediately upload the inspection report from the spot through this App. This will make it easier to manage real-time data.
Dr Sharma said that there are 3,600 registered sonography centres in the State in both private and government sectors of which around 2,000 centres are functional. This App will make the work of registered sonography centres easy. These centres can upload their daily report along with the entry of Form F that is filled at the time of sonography of a pregnant woman through this IMPACT App. A feedback system for the sonography centre operators has also been developed in this App. NIC has developed this application.
National Health Mission Director Shri NK Thakral said that hoardings and banners would be displayed at medical institutions and at prominent places across the State to give a message to the general public about ‘Stop Foeticide and Daughters are Priceless’ under the PCPNDT Act.
PCPNDT Cell In-Charge and Additional Superintendent of Police Smt Shalini Saxena and Indian Radiology Association State Secretary Dr Jeevraj Singh and other concerned officers were present on this occasion.
