Portal launched to help stranded foreign tourists and NRIs

2 April . World Health Organization and United Nations have declared CORONA
Virus Infection as a Pandemic. Govt. of India and State Government are making
all possible efforts for the safety of people and for prevention of spread of
Corona Virus infection.
In
this context, for addressing the problems of foreign travellers stranded
anywhere in India and for helping them reach their native country, Ministry of
Tourism, Govt. of India has launched a portal “http://strandedinindia.com”.
Foreign
and NRI Tourists can submit their location and grievance on this portal and can
also contact on Helpline Number/ Control Room (COVID-19 Helpline Number: +91-
11- 23978046 or 1075, Helpline Email ID: ncov2019@gov.in, ncov2019@gov.com).
Control Room is functional for 24 hours.
Based
on the details provided by the foreign travellers on the portal, the State
Tourism Department officials are contacting them and rendering guidance and
support on case to case basis.
